Jesus Heals Blind Bartimaeus
46 (A)And they came to Jericho. And (B)as he was leaving Jericho with his disciples and a great crowd, Bartimaeus, (C)a blind beggar, the son of Timaeus, was sitting by the roadside. 47 And when he heard that it was (D)Jesus of Nazareth, he began to cry out and say, “Jesus, Son of David, have mercy on me!” 48 And many (E)rebuked him, telling him to be silent. But he cried out all the more, “Son of David, have mercy on me!”

25 Consequently, he is able to save to the uttermost[a] (A)those who draw near to God (B)through him, since he always lives (C)to make intercession for them.
26 For it was indeed fitting that we should have such a high priest, (D)holy, innocent, unstained, (E)separated from sinners, and (F)exalted above the heavens. 27 He has no need, like those high priests, to offer sacrifices daily, (G)first for his own sins and then for those of the people, since he did this (H)once for all when he offered up himself.
